Our current principal is amazing! He brings good morals into our learning environment everyday. We have had VERY FEW disiplinary problems with students since he came. I love this school and I am proud to be a Double G, Golden Gopher! Hoo-rah!
past poor leadership is still hurting many students.good luck to the new principal.she will need it.she has the ability to turn things around at hhs.it has been very unfortunate at hhs that some of the "building administrators",or some of the "leftovers"from the previous failed administration still linger on.the jefcoed and hhs are to blame for this and their bluff should be called.at least two or more of the build.admins.served many years at hhs as teachers.this was and is a critical mistake and very obvious.these individuals have proven only to be power mongers bent on control of their former teaching mates giving them multiple new "duties" as well as tons of unnecessary paper work.they have been allowed to all but totally destroy teaching morale and cohesion.one of the big questions is why werent these "asst. principals" moved to a different school? this would have been a better route for the jefcoed and hhs to have followed.it would also have been fair to these "asst. principals" and given them a fresh start.and NOW we answer the question of how STUDENTS have been affected.anytime there is chaos or distress within a faculty at a school it makes students uneasy and gives them unnecessary anxiety,thus having a negative affect on innocent students.one of the largest negative impacts of this "crime" can be seen immediately on the schools largest cash maker,the football program.not only were its coaches constantly critiqued by the schools pitiful "administrators" they are almost all gone now.these men were the true molders of our young men.they brought the team up from 6As biggest embarassments to the most successful in all of hueytowns history of football.we must support coach scott and wish him the best.hes got a real tough act to follow...seriously.one thing hes got going for him is a new principal at hhs.***as parents and members of the fine hueytown community you have the right to question the "leaders" at your childs school as well as that other group known as jefcoed,who is responsible for putting people in leadership roles where your child attends.do they really look out after the students and faculty at hhs or do they just waste money sitting on their behinds waiting on three o'clock? f.y.i. the jefcoed superintendent is the highest paid in the state of alabama---now,when was hhs supossed to get a knew school?
